Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai fighter from Peru, and mixed martial arts athlete who is a part of in the UFC for the Flyweight Division. She is a Kyrgyzstani. Valentina is her older sister, and also a UFC competitors. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sporting career by becoming an Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko was the winner of the event and beat Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimity. Antonina followed it up with a silver-medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008, a gold medal in the year 2011 and the title of 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia started her professional career in at the age of 2003. She took home the World K-1 Championships of WKC Light Welterweight 2012, the Lightweight Lion Fight World Championships 2016, and the WMC World Championships and the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina was most recently seen battling Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina shevchenko won her first professional MMA fight in 2002 against Anara bayanova at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She was victorious via second-round TKO and then won the next 2 fights in the WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003, accumulating an overall record of 3-0. Shevchenko took a break from MMA in order to concentrate on kickboxing. She made her comeback against Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa by a majority vote and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. She resigned from the organization and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina TKO'd Nievera with her impressive striking ability at the end of the fight by using knees on the body. Antonina was offered the UFC offer after her victory. Antonina Shevchenko debuted in UFC during The TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting match against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi with an unanimous decision. But, she fell in her second bout due to a split verdict. Antonina recovered from her loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the prize of the night for the bout. Shevchenko lost 1-2 during her subsequent three bouts beating Ariane Lipski and falling to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina is currently being defeated by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
